Seeing the slow movement of the Federation Government road construction awarded to PW construction company limited, the people of Taraba are worried about the present state of the road.

Irked by the backward and forward space of the Goje-Gembu and Ngoruje Mayo Ndaga ring road some citizens of the areas have called on the newly appointed State Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Mu’azu Jaji Sambo to intervene over what they described as the snail and Cameleon movement of the roads by PW construction company.

A kinsman from Nguroje, Alhaji Isah Ahmadu Nguroje enjoined Sambo who was sworn on December,24th 2021 said the new minister is so privileged by the Buhari’s administration and was considered a Minister to oversee a key and a sensitive ministry.

According to him, Mu’azu is having a rare opportunity to write his name in the tabloids of goal, a privilege at his disposal to make an indelible record that will have a lasting impression in the minds of Taraba people, especially those from the Sardauna local government area of the State.

“Buhari has allowed our Brother to write his name in the tabloid of goal. To give a lasting impression in the minds of our people to always remember him for generations yet unborn. If he use the opportunity well, no doubt his name will be in the sands of time that can never be erased.

” This is our most heckling problem in Sardauna, roads that will connect us to the outside world (Jalingo) and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari are being kind to us for the construction of the road but we keep on wondering, what is causing the delay and the job completion?” Abubakar asked

While narrating the enormous economic potentials of Sardauna local government and its surrounding environments, Kefas Joel Madaki reminded the Honourable Minister of State, works, and housing to pressurize the company involved to finish the work within the specified time of agreement.

He said Sardauna is a gold local government of Nigeria that has a lot of mineral resources that the international investors can lobby to come and invest, but the bad nature of the road has denied the state, and the country huge revenue generation.

He called for the revocation of the contracts from PW to any reputation and more qualified company to continue the road work as at the moment the work is less than ten percent completed.

The level of the road construction he said is nothing to write home about and during the rainy season, the road is going to be worse than its former state.

“I think PW is not capable to handle the construction of our community’s roads, for almost two years, you can go and find out what they have done is less than ten percent and our people are still suffering from the present condition of the road.

” Let the federal government revoke the contract to a more and better qualify company, leaving it for PW to continue I think it’s going to be a milky avenue by corrupt politicians who would not want the road to be completed,” Kefas said
