Described him a focused and a purposeful Christian Leadership, Pastor Abraham Godwin said the Youth of Adamawa have celebrated the re-election of Rev Gabriel Shall to head the Christian Association of Nigeria Youth Wing (YOWICAN) , Adamawa State chapter for another term.
According to him the Youth blocs leaders converged at the state CAN secretariat today and cast their votes for Gabriel despite uncanny decision to manipulate the election on foul security reports.
Another vibrant Christian Youth in the State, Christopher Jalo also celebrated the return of Gabriel for the second term and described him a good leader who deserved all support to work for Adamawa Christian Youth.
Jalo said that Gabriel has given the kind of good leadership that every Youth is happy with and has assured the people of the state he will double his stewardship in total service to God and the Youth of Adamawa state.
The delegation of the national who supervised the conduct of the election, Bako Adashu Elijah said he was sent to conduct a free and fair election.
He said there was a letter of insecurity from the Adamawa State CAN office demanding the election to put on hold, but insisted that the letter can not under mine the instruction of the national office.
According to him the national office are to intimate them of any insecurity threats because they are the ones that sent him down to conduct the YOWICAN election in the state.
He therefore said the decision of the state cannot overruled the decision of the national office as such is going to conduct the election in the interest of all people.
Bako got the support of all the blocs delegates present and agreed that the election should go on because there is no any form of insecurity.
While announcing the results after a peaceful conduct of the election, Gabriel of the PFN Bloc polled a total votes of fifty seven to emerged the overall winner and returned elected as the Chairman.
While Sani Tanida also polled fifty seven to win the vice chairman (OIC) seat, the secretary post went to Kefas Muzong (CCF) who got thirty seven votes and the treasurer Bitrus Danladi got fifty four votes to win the election.
