Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has congratulated Adamawa United for their historic qualification to the Nigerian Premier League.
The Governor in a statement signed by his Director General Media and Communications,Solomon Kumangar appreciated the efforts of the technical team and the players for their effort in making sure the team gets promoted to the upper division.
He said that the promotion couldn’t come at a better time than this, stressed that his administration will work round the clock to see to the success of the team.
Governor Fintiri described the achievement as one too many and that his administration which is youth friendly will always accord them all the necessary support and encouragement they deserve.
Furthermore, the Governor mentioned that football unites people from all races and religion, urged them to make use of the opportunity to prove to the world that Adamawa State have talented individuals.
“It’s been long I saw any sportsman or woman from Adamawa representing the state in an international level, it will be a thing of joy if our players will be selected to play for the national team in the future” he added.
While reiterating the commitment of his administration to empower youths, he promised them of his commitment to reviving sport in the state.
