During a colloquium event organised by Haske Satumari Foundation in Abuja where eminent Nigerians gathered at Shehu Musa Yaradua centre and brainstormed on a theme; “Promoting Social Change and development through diversity, Equity, inclusion and Social Justice.
The Governor of Adamawa State,Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was well represented by the Senator representing Adamawa Northern senatorial District, Reverend Amos K Yohanna said social justice, equity and inclusion are some of the inherent virtues of Governor Umaru.
Amos while delivering his speech said Governor Fintiri is more than an apostle of social justice, haven known for his tract records of having a Woman as a deputy Governor, a feat first of its kind in Northern Nigeria.
Amos dwelled on the recent infrastructural and human development being recorded in Adamawa state, he recalled how the Governor brought women on board to serve as Deputy Chairpersons of all the twenty one local government areas of the state.
Amos while reminding the gathering of high profiled personalities to include Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who served as chairman of the Occasion, Mrs Josephine Anineh, Senator Binta Masi Garba, Representative of Plateau state Governor, Barr Caleb Muftwang, Representative of Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, Senators and House of Representatives from Adamawa and Borno states.
Notably well attended during the occasion are ; Hon. Zakaria Dauda Nyampa, Member representing Madagali/Michika at the Federal House of Representatives, former Adamawa first Lady, Mrs Bala James Ngilari, international business mogul from countries of Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and Members of the Diplomatic Corps.
Amos emphasized the need of social justice as the bedrock of any stable society, quoting from the words of the 16th President of the United States of America Abraham Lincoln who said ‘’Social justice is in the heart of God and the core of humanity’.
Hé further congratulated the founder of the Foundation, Mr. Kudla Santumari Haske for joining hands with the People’s Governor to build a just and egalitarian society where no man is oppressed, everyone is Equal and included in the affairs of Fintiri’s Government.
