The Governor of Adamawa State,Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the setting up of a Technical Committee for verification of Local Government Pensioners in Adamawa State.
The Technical Committee has Joab Haggai Sahma as Chairman other members include Kefas James Tagwi, Birma Elkanah Daniel and Aishatu Mohammed as members, while Luqman Mohammed is to serve as Secretary.
In a signed Press Statement by the Governor’s Press Secretary,Humwashi Wonosikou said the committee
is empowered to coopt ten other members four of which should come from the Nigerian Union of Teachers, and the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees.
In the statement also,the Ministry for Local Government Affairs and Local Government Pension Board will have one member each. There may be a need for other auxiliary staff to facilitate the work of the committee.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri while congratulating members of the committee charged them to ensure decorum in the discharge of their duty.
