Gov Fubara presents 2024 budget to five-member Rivers Assembly

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Wednesday, presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the state House of Assembly.

Governor Fubara made the presentation during a plenary constituted by only five members of the House loyal to him.

This development is coming a few moments after the state government commenced the demolition of the House of Assembly complex.

Recall that 27 members of the House who are loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.

The 27 lawmakers were not around when the Governor presented the budget on Wednesday.
