The Principal Media Aids of Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state, has solicited cooperation and partnership with the Correspondents’ Chapel in projecting the image of the state and promoting the people’s oriented policies and programmes of the present administration.
The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Bala Dan Abu made the request on Friday when they received on a courtesy visit the newly elected executives of the Correspondents’ Chapel at Goverment House, Jalingo.
Dan Abu, who spoke on behalf of the other Media Aids said that as media managers, they cannot succeed without the Correspondents’ because of their vital role in mediating between the government and the society.
He informed that the Ishaku’s led administration is not afraid of criticism but it should be a constructive one, adding that the present administration has done a lot of developmental projects within and outside the state that requires to be reported properly.
The SSA however, appealed to Journalists in the state to complement governments’ efforts and work towards achieving lasting peace through objective reportage as well as desist from inciting people on violence.
Earlier, the newly elected Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Comrade Adamu Sadiq of (NAN) said they were at the media department in government house for familiarisation and to solicit collaboration with the governors’ media aids with the view to enable journalists carry out their duties effectively.
He assured them that the new Correspondents’ officials would work in the overoll interest of Taraba state without compromising the welfare of members, noting that the chapel will continue working as one family for the benefit of all.
Other media aids to the Governor including the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Hassan Mijinyawa, the Special Adviser New Media, Mr. Osborn Adi as well as the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Iliya Bekyu.
