In a statement released today, Mustapha lauded Zulum’s extraordinary governance in one of Nigeria’s most turbulent regions, describing him as a leader who has chosen hope over despair and action over lamentation. “Rather than retreat to comfort, he daily risks personal convenience to stand in solidarity with the displaced and vulnerable,” Mustapha said, emphasizing Zulum’s unwavering commitment to his people. “This is the essence of leadership.”

Mustapha highlighted Zulum’s bold initiatives, including his 25-Year Development Plan and 10-Year Strategic Framework, which have driven the restoration of schools, hospitals, homes, and livelihoods in Borno State.

“Zulum’s legacy is already secure in history,” he noted, praising the governor’s relentless efforts to rebuild and uplift communities ravaged by adversity. “He has demonstrated that governance is most effective when it is rooted in the people and measured by the lives it touches.”

Describing Zulum as a model for Nigeria’s democratic process, Mustapha stated, “As Nigeria searches for leadership that inspires confidence, Zulum stands tall. His story reminds us that transformational leadership is possible even in adversity.”

He celebrated Zulum not only as a governor but as a “unique younger brother” whose ideals of resilience, sacrifice, and service resonate across Borno, the Northeast, proposent and the nation at large.

On behalf of his family, Mustapha prayed for Zulum’s continued health, wisdom, and protection, expressing hope that he would inspire Nigeria for many years to come. “Happy 56th birthday to a man whose leadership is a testament to courage and service,” he concluded.
