Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering an ultra-modern international sports complex in Yola, after conducting an unscheduled inspection of the project. The governor expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, emphasizing the importance of meeting the September 2025 deadline.

During his visit, Governor Fintiri noted that the rainy season had slowed down work, but with the onset of the dry season, he expects the project to gain momentum. He also highlighted his commitment to ensuring the state’s resources are well accounted for and utilized effectively.

The sports complex, aimed at boosting sports activities in the state, will feature various arenas, including hockey stadiums, basketball courts, long tennis courts, handball stadiums, and swimming pools. These facilities will provide opportunities for youths to showcase their talents, promoting entertainment, recreation, and economic empowerment.
