GPF Hails Creation of New Chiefdoms, Emirates in Adamawa State

In a historic move, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has created seven new chiefdoms and emirates, marking a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards self-determination and autonomy. The Gongola Peoples Forum (GPF) has welcomed this development, praising the governor’s swift action on the recent legislation passed by the State House of Assembly.

The new chiefdoms and emirates are:

– *Hoba Chiefdom*: Headquartered in Hong, with a 2nd-Class Status

– Madagali Chiefdom: Headquartered in Gulak, with a 2nd-Class Status

-Michika Chiefdom: Headquartered in Michika, with a 2nd-Class Status

-Fufore Emirate: Headquartered in Fufore, with a 2nd-Class Status

-Gombi Chiefdom: Headquartered in Gombi, with a 3rd-Class Status

-Maiha Emirate: Headquartered in Maiha, with a 3rd-Class Status

-Yungur Chiefdom: Headquartered in Dumne, with a 3rd-Class Status

This development is a momentous milestone in the lives of the people in these areas

According to Chief Barr. LD Nzadon, General Secretary of GPF, this development is a momentous milestone in the lives of the people in these areas, who have been forced to live under an alien administration and culture for over a century. The GPF has been advocating for self-determination and autonomy for decades, and this move is seen as a significant step towards achieving that goal.

The GPF has congratulated Governor Fintiri on this achievement, praising his courage and leadership. The forum has also assured the governor of its unflinching support in the remaining years of his tenure, recognizing him as not only a state asset but a national one.
