A group under the umbrella of “APC National Youth Vanguard Adamawa Northern Senatorial District” has called for the resignation of Sen. Binta Masi Garba, after a close door meeting held in Mubi, Adamawa State.
The group quoted that “our attention has been drawn to comments and Interviews made by the Youth Leader of Centre for Peace and Positive Leadership Adamawa State, Comrade Kabiru Duhu in which he laments the way and manner the Senator is representing below expectation of the people and they decided to call for a close door meeting after their consultations in the Constituency.
Our correspondent find out that the meeting was successful and wasn’t concluded as consultation is still going on and the leader refused to inform the press on the outcome, but only said they will finalize the meeting next week and will inform the general public on their resolution.
Meanwhile a source that doesn’t want his name to be disclosed and was in the meeting said, the meeting held for two (2) hours and have discussed on many issues affecting the zone and Sen. Binta Masi Garba which he said, she doesn’t even have a Constituency office that complaints can be submitted to. Even her so call close associates she doesn’t pick their calls nor contact them to know what is happening in her constituency. All she has been doing is to travel around the globe without properly representation of the people in the National Assembly. In one of her trip, the Senate caucus met and decide to removed her from Senate Chairman Committee on TET-Fund. He said to us that she is not even in Nigeria as he is talking and she came to her Constituency only a few times since her assumption of office. She visited Maiha twice and Madagali only ones.
The fellow lamented to have been an unfortunate constituency to have the like of Binta as a senator. “Binta gave her younger brother a contract to construct Desk for few schools and renovates some which she is now parading as the achievement she recorded.”
“She is the only politician in that zone that don’t have a functional structure because she has abandoned them. We see them around Mubi discussing her everywhere. They said they will only collect her money and not vote for her in 2019. This is exactly what Michika did to her in 2007, they collected her money and voted for Hon. Ganama.”He said
“We want to tell her that the job she thinks she give her constituents, those people bringing the list of job seekers to her are actually collecting money from the constituents. The materials she brought for empowerment last year was diverted and sold out. One of her aid in Mubi stocked the mattress and he was busy sharing it to his girlfriends and some youths broke into the store and stole mattresses. He further said we want to tell her without fear or favour that she has lost all support she had. She is the only politicians whose close allies have nothing to show for. She should learn from Senator Azeez and former Senator Grace Bent.” He added
According to him that Senator Binta has no regards four our elders. She doesn’t listen to anybody. She has never held any meeting with her constituents to know their plights. We are yet to see any visible project from her in our domain. I also want to tell all the Senate hopeful in our zone to try their chances because Binta has no more grassroots support.
He, therefore, wish to assert without equivocation that in terms of performance and achievement she has failed the people and unbiased citizens of the Constituency will definitely attest to this fact as evidence stair all of them.
He also disclosed to us that, they reiterate that they will no longer support her until she cease the belligerent attitude towards her Constituency and by next week they will finalise the meeting and inform the general public on the outcome of their resolution.
All efforts to speak to Senator Binta Masi proved abortive as all her lines upon a call rings on countless occasion were not picked and not messages sends to her numbers were replied.
