Contrary to the provision, guidelines and order of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that anyone who will be elected to the office of the Youth leader should not be more than thirty five years old.

Base on this premise Adamawa concerned citizens have petitioned the APC in Adamawa of electing Abubakar Abubakar to occupy the office of the youth leader at forty years old.

The group in the petition signed by its chairman, Alhaji Hussaini Gambo Nakura have copied their complaints to Mai Mala Bula caretaker national chairman, Prof Mamman Tahir (North east national vice chairman), Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal (State Chairman)

Hussaini in the petition letter reiterated the group’s vision in insisting public or political issues are done well without fear or favor to all parties involve.

Nakura in his early submissions of the petition said fielding up Abubakar to be elected will be “satanic” seed sown into the party internal Democracy that will later destroy the party system.

“We the concerned stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress under the aegis of Adamawa concerned citizens wish to draw your attention to an undemocratic move by some power mongers to hand over the position of APC youth leader to an old man against the extant laws of our great party.

“These APC unscrupulous elements certainly do not wish the party well as what they want to do is clearly against the provisions of democratic norms which if left unchecked may only breed anarchy and breach of law and order.

“It is pertinent to state here that kicking such a undemocratic exercise with all our might,” Nakura said.

Nakura while expressing dismay over the primitive internal party mishaps by some few individuals to achieve their selfish motive without recourse to the future of the party continue to say that:

“We will overcome these forces of darkness however powerful they are because you can’t eclipse the voices of the masses.

“To push home our arguments, it is pertinent to state that Habu Kaura is not qualified to serve as the youth leader on account of his age, as the party stipulates that persons above 35 are not qualified to hold the position.

“We want to state authoritatively that Habu Kaura was born in 1981 meaning that he is now 40 years old and therefore not qualified to hold the office.

“When the present youth leader from Jimeta, Saidu Babawo was removed from office, we thought the action was taken in deference to the the party constitution, but to our amazement, another person who is not qualified is being hoisted on the party against all odds.

“It is for this reason that we demand the status quo be maintained and a person below 35 years replace his position as stipulated in our party’s constitution.”

The organising Secretary of another APC pressure and awareness group known as #concensus, Ahmed Ibrahim affirmed the petition to hold water that the national party should consider or look at it with the eyes of wisdom.

According to him the beginning and healthy democracy begins within the politics of all political parties, and once they failed in getting things done right that will generally affect the leadership of a particular nation.

He said it’s confirmed Abubakar is above 35 years therefore his election to the office of State youth leader is null and void and will ridicule the party system.

He Called on the state officials of the party to look for a better replacement that can properly fit in to the office in order to avoid Court litigations that will lead to party instability.

He worried that APC as a national party is now not having any provision for the Youth, the party is for all old men and women if a 40 year old man is occupying the only suppose seat reserve for the youth who are part of the party’s mainstream system.

“The Youth are no longer have a place in the party. Imagine an entire party structure of a state excos do no not have someone in a true sense of a youth that can stand, defend them. Our party are systematically excluding us into the party affairs.” He said
