Group Scores Buhari’s Administration High in Economic Growth, Development

Group under aegis of Buhari Votes Guard and Awareness (BVGA) has scored the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration high in the area of economic growth and development.

According to the group , it is imperative to point out some of the major achievements of the Muhammad Buhari administration in the last seven and a half years of APC.

Addressing journalist at its Abuja office on Performance of Nigeria under Buhari administration , the National Coordinator of the Group, Dr. Kailani Muhammad,said “It is on record that the government has successfully achieved a significant growth in the economic development of the country and provided several infrastructures needed to ensure steady development across all segments of the society.

According to him, the Buhari administration has equally fought corruption heading and strengthened agencies mandated to fight corruption in the country.

“In the same vein, the administration has ensured the enactment of CAMA, PIA, NHIA and various social interventions such as Anchors borrowers scheme, Trader money, Market that cushion the effects of economic hardship in the country.

“For now Nigeria is among the largest producers of rice in Africa
There is also a new electoral act and INEC is given free hand to conduct the most credible elections by any standard.

Dr. Kailani however said, “While the administration is working to stabilize the country by achieving the following: Nigeria’s oil and gas industry reform (AKK, Escravos, Ɗangote); Power sector (Siemens 25000MW), reorganization of the armed forces with an infrastructural revolution as well as the construction of the 2nd Niger & Loko – Iweto Bridge and a New deep sea port in Lagos, New railway between Lagos Ibadan and Abuja-Kaduna-Kano, Long abandoned Warri -Itakpe, several people are busy working to bring down the government.

On suspension of ASUU strike, Dr Kailani,who expressed joy over the decision of the Union to sheath sword said , it is gladdening to hear the amicable resolution between the Federal Government and the ASUU that led to the suspension of the eight months strike.

Meanwhile he advised , now that the strike is over, the parents, students and the lectures should have peace of mind and face the educational challenges head-on.
