Guber election: PDP Lawyers object Hudu appearance to testify as witness in Adamawa Tribunal

It was an argument and counter argument between the Lawyers of People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the Lawyers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, today at the Adamawa Election tribunal sitting in Yola.

The arguement waa wether the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Yunusa Hudu Ari is part of those to testify in defence of the Plaintiff APC as it was not what was initially filled.

The PDP lawyers argued that the submission of the petition by the plaintiff to the tribunal does not indicated that Hudu is going to be a principal witness, therefore cannot be part of those to testify on what transpired during the Match 16th 2023 Adamawa State Governorship

The Judge however reserved judgment to rule in that regard as continuation of the case is set for tomorrow.

REC Hudu who spent hours at the witness box was not allow to give the testimony that appeared to dashed the hope of the APC lawyers.

REC Hudu our reporter learnt has since left Yola.

Recall that Hudu declared Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani as the winner of the governorship election during results collation of an inconclusive election which INEC upturned and considered it as an abrasion of the election law.
