Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, conducted an on-the-spot assessment of flood-affected communities in Gummi Local Government Area over the weekend.
He donated ₦100 million and 10,000 bags of grains to the victims.
Lawal expressed sympathy and concern for the flooding victims, stating that a team of engineers had already surveyed the areas to find a lasting solution to the problem.

He explained that the team was sent after the Deputy Governor’s visit to the affected areas.
The Governor assured the victims that work would soon commence to prevent further occurrences of the flood. “I have instructed the immediate commencement of work to prevent such a situation,” he emphasized.
Lawal’s visit and donation aim to provide relief and support to the affected communities, with a focus on finding a lasting solution to the flooding problem.
