According to intelligence sources, the attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. on February 17, when the gunmen stormed the village, catching the residents off guard. The armed men, whose identities and motives are yet to be determined, made their way to the victims’ homes and whisked them away to the mountainous terrain along the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the incident, stating that a distress call was received around 3:30 a.m., prompting an immediate security response. “Upon receiving the report, operatives visited the scene, and a joint team of police officers and local hunters has been deployed to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the apprehension of the culprits,” a police source disclosed.
