The Member representing Ganye constituency in the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Alhassan Hammajoda said as part of efforts towards justifying the confidence reposed in him he will continue providing people-oriented programs to his constituents.
He made this known on Saturday while distributing Cars, Motorcycles, Water Pumps, Grinding Machines Cash, and other assorted empowerment items to his electorate in continuation of his 2020 Constituency project.
Presenting the items for onward distribution to the beneficiaries, the lawmaker says that the reason behind Programme is to make his electorate self-reliant.
He observed that after consulting other critical stakeholders in the constituency they considered the level of poverty in the society hence the decision to use the constituency project fund to empower his people, saying that he is ready to continue to reach out to his people with such a Programme whenever resources are made available.
He appealed to those that benefited to judiciously utilize the items for the purpose intended and to improve their living standard and that of their families, and to those that could not get to wait as their time is coming.
Alhassan applauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for approving forty million naira to every member to execute constituency project for their electorate, expressing optimism that the economy will improve so that the executive arm will continue to give them fund to continue to provide dividends of democracy.
In his remarks on behalf of other members of the State Assembly, the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Muhammed Mutawalli of Girei Constituency commended the Member representing Ganye for providing the empowerment items to his electorate.
Mutawalli told the gathering that the kind gesture will go along way in making their people self-reliant, and urged the beneficiaries to use the items for their progress.
Also speaking, the Member representing the Shelleng constituency, Hon. Abubakar Isa described. Alhassan Hammanjoda as one of the legislators that has a love of his people at heart, saying that he has witnessed many Empowerment Programmes that the member has done for his people.
Baring his mind, the Southern Zone Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Yunusa Buwangal disclosed that Alhassan Hammanjoda has proved to the people that they have voted for a representative who has their interest at heart.
On his part, the State Chairman of All Progressives Congress,APC,Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal said the party is proud of the performance of its members at the House of Assembly and their respective Constituencies.
Alhaji Bilal also called on the executive of the party in Ganye to support their member to enable him to continue to provide dividends of democracy to his electorate.
In their separate vote of thanks on behalf of beneficiaries, the APC Youth and Women leaders expressed their appreciation to the lawmaker promising that the items will be judiciously used for the purpose intended
The empowerment items distributed by the Member include; cars, motorcycles, water pumps sewing machines, grinding machines, and cash.
It could be recalled that the lawmaker had out of the forty million constituency project fund given to them by Governor Fintiri, awarded 5 million naira scholarship to indigene students studying at various schools, and distributed herbicides to farmers across the ten political wards in the Constituency during raining season.
