The Member Representing Ganye Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Alhassan Hammanjoda has finally answered calls from various political pressure groups, stakeholders, and APC stalwarts to contest for Member House of Representatives to represent Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency.
Alhassan who is the incumbent member representing Ganye Constituency for the second time at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, has formally Declared his interest during a stakeholders meeting at Nicholas Barry hall Ganye on Monday.
The house of reps hopeful who is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC said if given the mandate to represent the good people of the four local government areas at the Green chamber he will use his wealth of experience to bring more developmental projects.
On his legislative function apart from ensuring checks and balances in all the MDA’s under his watch since twenty fifteen, the lawmaker said he sponsored many people oriented bills that were passed into law, as others are at various stages of first and second while some are at committee level for scrutiny and waiting for third reading.
Citing example with his two recent bills on a law to regulate the Practice of veterinary services In the state and that of a law a law to make public records and information more freely available for public access to records and information, protect public public record and information to the extent consistent with the public interest and the protection of personal privacy.
On his motions on the floor of the house include; motion on the need to renovate GSS SUGU in Ganye, need for a lasting solution on the incessant killing of people in Ganye constituency by unknown person and a motion on the need to provide more township roads and renovation of dilapidated public structures in his constituency among others.
Speaking during the declaration, the All Progressives Congress APC Vice Chairman Adamawa State, Ahmad Bami Bako and the state women leader of the party Hajiya Hauwa Koma described Alhassan Hammanjoda as grassroot politician who proved his capacity beyond reasonable doubt going by his track record.
In their seperate remarks, the former speaker Adamawa state house of assembly Alhaji Kabiru Mijinyawa who is the incumbent member representing Yola South constituency and his counterpart of Shelleng Alhaji Abubakar Isa told the gathering that, theirAlhaji colleague is man with proven integrity, hence the need on the delegates to give him the mandate.
In their addresses the Ex-officio One of the All Progressives Congress APC Alhaji Jamilu Abubakar From Mayo Belwa and chairman of the party in Ganye, Alhaji Adamu Gombe said, the quality representation of Alhassan Hammanjoda is among the key factors that lead to the various calls and pressure on him to contest for the seat of house of reps and pledged to mobilize votes for him.
There were goodwill messages from chairman APC elders forum Alhaji Hammanjoda Babidi and that of Caucus forum Barrister Yusuf Jangwe among others stakeholders of the area who were in attendance during the declaration ceremony of Alhassan Hammanjoda.
