The secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF),Barr Boss Mustapha Gida during an annual Thanksgiving service of Adamawa state Government House Chapel said his life is of thanking to God for arresting,sustaining him to show case His glory.
Boss who was represented by one of his bosom childhood friend,Mr Sa’idu T Baba-Bikoi as the special guest of honour to mark the Sunday Thanksgiving service at the chapel,revealed that he owe it to God to live a life of purpose.
He delved back to history of his early life as a young lawyer in Jimeta Yola,living his wishful life until God arrested him to be a servant,serve Him and serve humanity.
Gida through his representative enjoins Christians to join politics because its the only means of giving birth to credible leaders,and failure of good people involving into politics will result to producing mediocre as leaders.
“We should be involved in politics,we must join it directly or indirectly, else we allow the nonentities to lead our country to a collapse,Dont shy away from it,we must all join politics.” He called
He Call on them to support the President Muhammadu Buhari led adminstration for it’s pose to bring more dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.
While the sermonist,Prof Dan Babayi,President, Trinity Bible College, Yola pondered his message on a life of praising God at odd,bad and good times.
According to him the life of Christians should be a life of thanksgiving and they should learn to thank God in all situation without somebody cajoling them to do that.
He admonished that christians should not be pressed to give their resources for God’s purpose because a life of praises to God is a life of appreciating God with our resources.
“We don’t need to be pressed to give for the purpose of God’s work, it is not when you even have a good harvest,given all to God is an act of worship because Thanksgiving is a way of life to every good Christian.” Dan Said
The hilarious preacher and University Don snowballed congregants to high worship of God, as he took his Bible text from Genesis 1:28 stressing that all Christians are God’s Ambassadors and are ought to dominate and subdue the earth.
He continue to say that Christians love for God is never complete without the Love of Man, God created us to worship him and fellowship with fellow-men.
Dan opined that Nigeria is a great nation with Nigerians doing well and great in other countries but the country is failing in terms of dominating our environment.
He charged christians to contribute for the running the churches as it is their duty to make sure that the work of God must not suffer lost because of lack if giving.
“Thanksgiving is much more than giving and praying,Giving of thanks is not an event but away of life and we are here to celebrate a life of Thanksgiving. A life that has always acknowledge God in all our doing.” He added
He continue to say that any day you fail to praise and worship God you will Miss seven blessings. But the day you praise him you will enjoy favor before God and man and you will subdue the earth.
Harvest Chairman of the occasions, Hon.Wafari Theman and Harvest Chairlady Bema Olvady Zakari on their separate remarks responded that If it were not been God mercies Christians would have all being consumed.
”We wouldn’t have made to this day. He has been there and He will continue to be there for us. We should thank him as the only inexhaustible God, a beyond comparable God,the holy of the holiest and the great I’m. For returning Peace in our State, peace in our lands and put an end to all crisis in our country.” They said
