A hopeful Senator from Adamawa central Senatorial district, Alhaji Salihu Garba Mama Aliyu (SAGMA) trained over 45 Youths in the use of social media handles cutting across the 7 Local Government areas (LGAs).
Garba purposeful designed the one day workshop to help in curbing the ills of Social media users that has been bastardized by many young Nigerians ,becoming a hub of fostering crisis,conduit of spreading fake news and heresies as a result of hate speech.
Salihu who is a patriotic people oriented computer professional with international reputation said the country must get it right by using the better part of internet than the negative part that’s is destroying the nation.
According to him to properly train the youths and engaged them on profitable ventures in the world of Internet where over 17 million Nigerians are active users.
“I’m after Youths empowerment, with or without being a senator I’m after empowering youths of all races seeing them assuming leadership positions in our times.” Salihu said
He continue to say that the workshop will later give birth to content developers, produce Youths for nation building through the use of social media handles by becoming peace vanguards and generatibg quality news of international standards.
A youth who is part of the trainee from Fofure, Aliyu Adamu said Salihu is a visionary leader that his knowledge can be better utilize at national assembly, calling on Adamawa people to support his political ambition.
The training which took place in Madugu Hotel,Jimeta Yola with a vision to have a continues training programme for Adamawa state indigenes
