The Adamawa security council has recommended the constitution of an administrative panel of enquiry to unravel the clash between herdsmen and ethnic militia in Numan local government area of the state.
Gov Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa made this known on Wednesday shortly after the emergency state security council meeting in Yola.
Bindow said that the panel would unravel both the remote and the immediate causes of the crisis.
He said that the police had already made some arrest and would arreign the suspects after their investigations.
The governor, who did not mention the number of suspects arrested assured that the pepatrators would face the full wrath of the law.
He called on the affect communities to remain calm as the state government must bring the perpatriators to book.
The governor also said that the state was bigger than any individual or any group, assuring that the government would not be distracted by the enemies of the state.
Also speaking, Dr Barkindo Mustafa, Lamido of Adamawa decried encroachment on grazing areas in the state.
Mustafa attributes incessant herdsmen farmers clash to overwhelming human activities on the land.
He however, appealed to the affected communities to allow the government to bring lasting solution to the menace.
Also, Chief Stephen Irmiya, Mama Batchama (Paramount ruler of the Numan community) said that the measures taken by the government would forestall future reoccurance of such clashes.
Irimiya condemned the attack and appealed to the affected communities to eschew violence.
You recalls that the herdsmen and farmers in Numan local government clashed leaving many deaths and others with injuries.
The security agents have being drafted to the affected communities to restore order.
