Historic Milestone Achieved: Gongola Peoples’ Forum Inaugurated Amidst Massive Turnout

The inauguration of the Gongola Peoples’ Forum (GPF) was a momentous occasion, marking a significant milestone in the struggle for self-determination and equality for the indigenous peoples of Gongola. The event, held on November 30, 2024, was attended by a massive crowd of dignitaries, community leaders, and enthusiastic supporters.

General Haldu Ananniya, leader of GPF and head of the elders’ council, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of unity and self-determination for the indigenous peoples. He paid homage to the movement’s forebears, who fought against domination and exploitation.

Other notable dignitaries in attendance included Dr. Apogu, president of the Middle Belt Forum, and Engr. Markus Gundiri, national chair of GPF. Gundiri’s inaugural speech was particularly inspiring, emphasizing the need for unity and collective action to achieve the movement’s goals.
