The Gongola Peoples’ Forum (GPF) has hailed His Royal Majesty, Tol Hoba Barrister Alheri Bulus Nyako, for launching a transformative commercial agricultural scheme in Hoba Chiefdom, a bold initiative poised to employ over 5,000 youths.

Powered by solar energy, the project is being celebrated as a groundbreaking model for grassroots entrepreneurial development in Adamawa State.

In a press release signed by Elder Maliki Daniel, National Chair of GPF, the forum praised the Tol Hoba for setting a new standard in addressing underdevelopment and harnessing the potential of indigenous Gongola ethnic nationalities. The initiative, according to GPF, not only aligns with their long-standing advocacy for autonomy but also validates the creation of new chiefdoms by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, whose governance has redefined the state’s developmental trajectory.
“His Royal Majesty has demonstrated that autonomy enables our people to chart their own destiny,” the statement read. “This agricultural scheme is a testament to the Tol Hoba’s commitment to redefining our cultural and developmental sovereignty.”
The GPF called on other newly established chiefdoms and emirates to emulate Hoba Chiefdom’s vision, urging a shift from feudal mindsets to self-assertiveness in driving progress. The forum emphasized that such initiatives are critical to justifying autonomy and fostering unity, indigenous revival, and the ideological “Gongolaness” that GPF champions.
Expressing solidarity, GPF pledged to partner with traditional rulers to advance the interests of Gongola’s ethnic nationalities. The forum urged Tol Hoba to foster synergy with other traditional leaders to amplify the region’s developmental agenda.
