Hon. Abubakar Magaji Sponsors Weddings of Late APC Chairman’s Daughters in Heartwarming Gesture

Hon. Abubakar Magaji Haske, the House of Representatives member representing Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha Federal Constituency, has stepped into the role of a compassionate elder brother by sponsoring the weddings of Sumayya Usman and Halima Usman, daughters of the late Usman Sarkin Modu, former All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Mubi South.

The weddings are set to take place on Saturday, April 19, in Mubi, bringing joy to a family touched by loss.

In a heartfelt commitment, Hon. Magaji vowed to support the sisters beyond the ceremony, pledging to be a steadfast guardian for their future needs. “I see Sumayya and Halima as my own sisters,” Magaji said. “Their father was a respected leader, and it’s my duty to honor his legacy by standing with his family.”

Yesterday, the lawmaker sent a special delegation to the family’s home, delivering modern furniture to equip the brides for their new lives. The gesture was met with overwhelming gratitude from the late chairman’s sons, Alh. Ahmadu Usman and Isa Usman, who praised Magaji’s thoughtfulness. “This is more than support; it’s a sign of true leadership,” Ahmadu said. “We are deeply touched by Hon. Magaji’s kindness.”

The late Sarkin Modu’s wives, Hjiya Hairiya Usman and Kulcumi Usman, also expressed their appreciation, offering prayers for Magaji’s continued success. “His generosity has brought light to our family,” Kulcumi said. “May God reward him abundantly.”

The presentation was witnessed by neighbors Mallam Abdullahi and Baba Luka, who joined in commending Magaji’s benevolence. “This is what leadership looks like,” Baba Luka remarked. “Hon. Magaji has shown he cares for his people.”
