HON.ALHASSAN COMMENDED GOV.BINDOW OVER ROAD CONSTRUCTION

In view of the new face lift that is been carried out on roads in and outside the Adamawa state capital, Governor Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindow has been commended.

Honorable Alhassan Hammanjoda, member representing Ganye constituency and committee chairman on agriculture and livestock production, who gave the commendation while speaking to news men in his office maintained that in this era of recession the work Bindow is doing is a great feat.

According to him, the governor has been able to do what he is doing because he is focus and has a vision to turn the state into one of the best in the country in terms of development thus the need for the people of Adamawa to seriously support him.

Hammanjoda however called upon the people of Ganye chiefdom to come out en mass on the 12 of November to welcome Bindow as he flags off the construction of Ganye road.

“Our road has been neglected by previous government for a very long time, this has seriously affected economic activities in the council as our people who are mostly farmers find it difficult in transporting their produce to the market”, the member stated.

Hammanjoda further stated that Ganye has been know as the food basket of the state and he believe that with a good road network the local government will increase the internal generated revenue (IGR) of the state.

”Ganye is not only rich in agricultural produce it has also been bless with abundant mineral and natural resources which if properly utilized, will not only benefit the state but the country at large” he stated.

Ganye Chiefdom which is tagged as “the food basket of Adamawa state” is made up of three local government areas of the State, Ganye, Jada and Toungo, by the border with Cameroon, they are surrounded by mountains with a very difficult terrain, 90 per cent of the people are farmers of almost all kinds of crops and plants as a result of a very fertile lands, while the mountains, according to research are rich in mineral resources.
