… _Pledges Renewed Efforts at Developing Every Part of His Constituency_
Lawmaker representing Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub,says he will in the next three years work with renewed vigour to ensure that every part of his Constituency gets tangible results of their support for him in the last General Elections.
Speaking over the weekend at Faci,Adamawa State,on the occasion of the flag- off of the 2019 Constituency Projects,Rt. Hon. Buba reminded the people of how he was able to deliver democracy dividend,including offering empowerment packages and personally sinking a borehole in each of the 254 Polling Units in his Constituency during his first term as their Representative at the National Assembly,while also stressing that their trust and faith in him at the polls have re- invigorated him to do more.
Represented on the occasion by a former Council Chairman in Hong Local Government Area,Hon. Ibrahim B. Gayus, Rt.Hon. Buba said his sojourn to the National Assembly was to afford his Constituents an opportunity for a more meaningful participation and inclusion in government and the enjoyment of what comes from that participation. This,he said,would in turn offer the people a new lease of life that would bring them even closer to the government at the centre for broader development.
He said:
” We must support all our leaders to do more for us. Support our dear President, Muhammadu Buhari,who has said that every part of the country must see and feel development. Today,developmental projects can be seen and touched,unlike before;and that is why we call on you all to stand and support those who are delivering results to lead us right We will continue to make good our promises by maintaining our pact with you,the true people of Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency, who stood for us,for our political convictions and for all that you have seen us do in the past.”
The event,which came amidst joy and fanfare, saw the hoisting of solar- panel street lightening poles in many parts of the Constituency. The poles ,which were seen adorning areas like the Captain Buba Industrial Village in Faci and parts of Gombi,which include: Ungwar Sama,Sabon Kasuwa,Garkida Motor Park,Tashan Ganda,Tashan Margi as well as Majalisar Alhaji Dalha, have deeply brought illumination around the areas and joy to the hearts of the people. Other areas in Gombi are Tike Gombi,Opposite Honeymoon Car Wash,Daban Gombi 2 Car Wash and other places in Hong like Daban Kwacha,LCCN Church,Masallacin Yan Izalla and other areas.
Among those who were present at the event was the Special Guest of Honour, Comrade Dauda Maina,former Adamawa State Labour leader and APC Candidate for Gombi State Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly in the 2019 General Elections; others were Hon. Semete Helma, Captain Buba Campaign DG and that of Hong Local Government Area,
Alh. Adamu Kwacha, as well as Mr Dauda Kushu,Director of Administration;the Spokesman of the Campaign and MC on the occasion, M D Kalapil,including all members of the Media Team,Ward Situation Observers,Ward Co-ordinators and many others,who all gave thumbs up to Rt. Hon. Buba for effectively representing Gombi/ Hong at the National Assembly in the last five years.
