The member representing Michika and Madagali Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Zakaria Dauda Nyampa has distributed items worth millions of naira to thousands of hia Constituents with a view to empower them.
The items are 110 Water pumps, 320 sewing machines, 35 cars, 150 Grinding machines, 50 generators and sets of barbing kits, 200 bags of rice, 40 oil machine, 10 tricycles, Herbicides, insecticides and instructional materials among others.
The mega empowerment programme was applauded with cheers and praises to the Federal Lawmaker as women and Youth across the 26 wards of michika and Madagali came out en masse to receive the empowerment support.
In his Remarks at the event in Michika, Mr Dauda Nyampa disclosed that the aim of the Programme was to cushion the hardship being faced by his people who were agressively affected by the activities of Boko Haram insurgents.
He commended the State and Federal Governments for their efforts towards the fight against insurgency and urged them to maintain the momentum as according to him it has restored the relative peace now being enjoyed in the areas
“With about a month and few weeks to the 2023 polls, I charged you to shun all forms of political thuggery, violence and ensure peaceful conduct of the polls and vote for credible candidates that will give purposeful representation,” he said.
In their separate remarks, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmen for Michika and Madagali LGAs, Emma Fungus and Ibrahim Zadaku among others lauded the humanitarian support of the federal lawmaker, describing it as unprecedented.
Some of beneficiaries of the empowerment programme who spoke in an interview thanked the Federal Lawmaker for the gesture and assured judicious use of the items they received to improve their living conditions.
