The 2023 elections are here and it came with a partially satisfying young talents amongst the Movers and Shakers of the polity more than any other political seasons since the advent of democracy in Nigeria. From the party leaders, delegates and the aspirants/candidates in all the political parties. Though we (the youths) are far behind what we are aspiring for in youth participation, we are getting there by the day. Thanks to the “Not Too Young To Run Bill”. It has really made positive impact on encouraging us to get involved.

One of those talents is a young aspiring and promising, emerging leader in the person of Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sirajo Jibrin. Coming out from the famous Jibrin family and descendants of the famous Mallam Muhammad Mai Zanko. This lineages dated back to 300years of greatness and impacting on Humanitarian gestures, jobs creation for the teeming populace, educational services to the community (both Islamic and western), and Northern region at large. The respect and the Integrity this vast and one of the widest family in Bauchi has produced enjoined is second to none. It is indeed a proud to present one of our own.

A graduate of Software Engineering from the prestigious Limkokwing University, Malaysia. The University has a reputation of graduating the best. Indeed he has distinguished himself from other candidates as he was among the best in his Graduation Year. Let’s not continue without remembering the famous ATBU Staff School and Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo Secretary School, Kano, which are all his Primary and Secondary School Alumnus respectively. We equally know how these famous Schools have been on the spotlight for producing the best brains in to the society. All the academic excellence he attained cannot be separated from the abundant blessings and attributes of memorisation of the Holy Qur’an he has bagged.

He started his career in public service with the National Pension Commission in 2014. Not long ago through his services there, seeing the competence and hardworking, he was appointed by the then Defence Minister, Mansur Dan Ali as his Special Adviser, Technical throughout his tenure. One thing leads to another they say, the current Speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila saw the expertise in him and appointed him his Personal Assistant up to date.

Now, let’s take a look at how far this young and talented candidate has gone in public service roles and political circles, especially his role as a Special Assistant to Mr. Speaker, is there any other candidate vying for the Seat of Bauchi Local Government Federal Constituency who is competent and vast in the knowledge of the job of House of Representatives better than him? It is an absolute no!. There is no need for better when best is possible they say.

You will surely agree with me on all the qualities aforementioned and more when you finally have a one-on-one encounter with this brain. I can exclusively tell you how he kept mentioning alarming challenges and their solutions in salvaging the people of Bauchi Local Government Federal Constituency with utmost serendipity and satisfying answers. he explains situations with calculated precisions which usually surprises many because of his articulation, brilliance and young age.
We maybe right by describing him as little Einstein, this genius is what Hausa people call “Raskwana Uwar Lissafi” for the accuracy on how he expanciate issues.

In his campaign manifesto, he highlighted three main areas which he promised to focus on:

Poverty Alleviation,

Youths and women empowerment;

And healthcare issues/challenges amongst many others.

Education and agriculture are sectors which he pointed out as matters of special interests among his people, they provide better better self reliant population, therefore, these duo are going to receive special attention from him. The manifesto explains step after another on how he intend to tackle these issues, you will just agree that he went for a complete study sessions to master the his people challenges and it solutions.

Though he has started touching and implementing these solutions, take for instance the healthcare delivery, anywhere you see Tricycles (Keke Napep) with his poster and/or sticker are carrying women to and fro all the hospitals in the Bauchi Metropolis free of charge, giving him the mandate by voting him will surely give him the courage and the opportunity to touch more lives than you can imagine.

While many candidates are carried away by the crowds (large or small) that welcomed them in campaign gatherings and/or wherever they visit, Engr. Abdullahi is more concerned about the respect and honour to be given and accorded to the traditional rulers (Dagachis, Hakimai, Masu Unguwannis), as they are the first to be visited and seek for their blessings and prayers. This shows how he respect constituted authority. It is on this note, that so many of them crowned him with traditional titles.

In few days to come, we cannot afford not to come out enmass to vote for The Majidadin Unguwan Dalo, The Walin Bakal, The Garkuwan Unguwan Dashi, and The Dan Jikan Jitar in to the Seat of Member to represent us in the House under the APC. In Sha Allahu.

It’s Youth O’clock
