In a significant development, Honorable Ja’afar Magaji, a member of the House of Representatives representing Maiha, Mubi North, and Mubi South federal constituency, has commended the federal government for its unwavering commitment to establishing the Federal Medical Centers (FMC) in Mubi, Adamawa State.
Magaji specifically praised President Bola Tinubu for ensuring the smooth implementation of the project, which was initiated before the previous administration. This milestone is a testament to the federal government’s dedication to improving healthcare services in the region.
The federal government’s efforts have led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Adamawa State Government, officially taking over the sites of the centers. The MoU marks a significant milestone in the conversion of Cottage Hospital Hong and General Hospital Mubi to Federal Medical Centers.

Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, who signed the agreement on behalf of the state, acknowledged the benefits of the project to the people of Adamawa State. Magaji also appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the bills establishing the two medical centers into law.
The federal government has assured citizens that quality healthcare remains a top priority, with Minister of Health Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate reaffirming this commitment. With work commencing at the permanent site of the FMC Mubi, residents have expressed support for the project, which aims to improve healthcare services in the state.
Magaji’s commendation is a testament to the federal government’s efforts to improve the lives of citizens in Adamawa State. As a member of the House of Representatives, Magaji has been a strong advocate for the establishment of the FMC Mubi, and his efforts have contributed significantly to the project’s success.
Hon. Jafar Magaji (Hasken Mubi Emirate) has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is a true representative of his constituents by sponsoring bills for the establishment of FMC Mubi and Federal University of Agriculture Mubi. Another bill for the establishment of Federal Collage of Nursing and Midwifery in Maiha is in the offing.
These are bills that have educational, employment and economic impact in the Northern senatorial district in particular and the state in general.
