Honourable Faith Pukuma, a respected political figure and former colleague of retired General Buba Marwa, has extended glowing commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for renewing the appointment of Gen. Marwa as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In a formal congratulatory letter personally signed by Hon. Pukuma, she described Gen. Marwa’s reappointment as a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional leadership, integrity, and unrelenting commitment to Nigeria’s war against illicit drugs and substance abuse.
“I recall with great admiration the dexterity and excellent spirit of leadership, characteristic of a seasoned military officer and sound Nigerian politician, which General Marwa has consistently demonstrated,” Pukuma wrote.
She highlighted his remarkable resilience, intelligence, and dedication, noting that his achievements at the NDLEA stand as a testament to his service to the nation.
Having shared a political journey with the retired general, Hon. Pukuma vouched unequivocally for his character, stating: “I can attest to his exceptional leadership qualities, his ability to eschew evil, and his unrelenting passion for justice.”
Expressing profound gratitude to President Tinubu for reposing confidence in Gen. Marwa, she affirmed that the renewal would further energize the NDLEA’s efforts in combating drug trafficking and abuse across the country.
“I wholeheartedly endorse and support the reappointment of General Buba Marwa (Rtd) as Chairman of NDLEA,” she declared, adding that his continued leadership would not only bring pride to Adamawa State but also contribute significantly to national development.
Gen. Marwa’s reappointment has been widely seen as a boost to Nigeria’s anti-narcotics campaign, with stakeholders praising his transformative impact since assuming office in 2021.
