Hong: Adamawa APC ward EXCOS suspend Chairman, Swear-in Vice to over

The executive officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Bangshika Ward of Hong Local Government area of Adamawa State have suspended the Chairman of the party, Alhaji Sanusi Musa.

Musa was suspended by twenty-seven members of the ward working committee who appends their signatures and phone numbers in a letter of vote of no confidence earlier submitted to the local government’s party chairman of Hong.

You would recall that the officials had accused Musa of gross misconduct and lost confidence in his stewardship on account of his abysmal conduct, disrespect for the laid down Constitutional provision, and imprudence.

They also accused him of refusing to reconcile aggrieved party members whom the chairman offended during and after the party primaries and do not initiate reconciliation meetings to address the concerns of aggrieved parties.

“Going by the gravity of the offense the chairman committed, we, therefore, invoke the above article and pass a vote of no confidence on him.” The letter read

The accusations against Alhaji Musa that led to a vote of no confidence slammed on him today culminated in a suspension by the ward officials.

A swearing-in letter and oath of allegiance which was made available to this medium revealed that the ward Vice Chairman, Mr. John Ahmed was sworn in to take over in an acting capacity.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the ward party office where John was administered an oath of office to obey the Constitution of APC in the presence of other party executives.

The party officials have sent a strongly worded statement that the suspended Sanusi should henceforth stop parading himself as their party chairman.

In the statement, they urged the local government party leaders to likewise uphold their decision by not doing the contrary to upturn their judgment if they truly want APC to succeed in Bangshika Ward.
