The chamber will remain in recess until September 23, 2025, when the 360 elected representatives are scheduled to reconvene for the next plenary session of the 10th National Assembly.

The adjournment was announced by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, following a motion moved by the House Majority Leader, Hon. Julius Ihonvbere, and seconded by the House Minority Leader, Hon. Kingsley Chinda.

The decision follows an intense legislative period characterized by debates on critical issues, including the 2025 national budget, tax reform bills, and infrastructure development.

During the recess, representatives are expected to conduct constituency outreach across Nigeria’s 360 federal constituencies, holding town halls and overseeing projects in line with their constitutional duties.
