The management of Hope and Rural Aid Foundation (HARAF), in line with its organizational mandate of training and retraining staff, organized a 3-day capacity building training to equip its staff in Adamawa and Borno states. The goal was to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services across all ongoing (NHF, BMZ, and MCRP) and future interventions.

  • Work Ethics and Etiquettes in an Organization
  • Processes of Procurement
  • Mainstreaming Disability in HARAF Programming
  • Conflict Resolution in the Workplace
  • Safeguarding
  • Leadership and Managerial Skills
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Petty Cash Models

In her opening remarks, Executive Director Mrs. Galaxy Thami welcomed participants and encouraged them to fully engage with the training, emphasizing its purpose of strengthening individual capacities. She urged participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained effectively in their roles, expressing confidence in their continued professional growth. Mrs. Thami reaffirmed HARAF’s commitment to ongoing staff capacity development as a key organizational policy.

The training was facilitated by a combination of in-house experts and external consultants, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Director of Grants and Operations Daniel Akila highlighted HARAF’s commitment to investing in staff professional development to enhance capacity and ensure excellence in service delivery.

Head of Programs Abel Bake engaged participants daily, emphasizing the training’s aim to strengthen HARAF’s ability to better serve vulnerable communities, beneficiaries, partners, and donors through improved performance.

The capacity building training uniquely incorporated moments of refreshment and games to alleviate fatigue during the day-long sessions. The 3-day training concluded with a sack race, badminton, football, and a barbecue.
