Humanitarian Minister Leads Relief Efforts at Madinatu IDP Camp in Borno State

In a significant humanitarian effort, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Hon. Nentawe, led a team to the Madinatu IDP Camp in Maiduguri, Borno State, to distribute relief materials and assess the camp’s resources.

The visit, which took place on November 27, 2024, was conducted in collaboration with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). The team evaluated the resources available at several NCFRMI warehouses to support ongoing humanitarian efforts.

The Minister’s visit and the distribution of relief materials are a welcome relief to the IDPs, who have been struggling to access basic necessities. The assessment of the camp’s resources will also help inform future humanitarian efforts and ensure that aid is delivered effectively.
