Executive Chairman Barr Jibrin Ibrahim of Yola North LGA has emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for violence during the upcoming nationwide protest on August 1.
In a statement released by Ibrahim Abubakar Jimeta of Information and Public Enlightenment to Barr Ibrahim urged protest organizers and stakeholders to ensure that Yola North remains peaceful.
During a meeting at the Yola Secretariat with protest organizers, civil society groups, and security personnel, the chairman highlighted that while protesting is a constitutional right in Nigeria, any actions disrupting the peace in Yola North will not be tolerated.
He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony, aiming to set a positive example for other regions in Adamawa State and Nigeria.
