The former commissioner of information and Strategy, Comrade Ahmad Sajoh he lost a father in Chief Honest Stephen Irmiya, a paramount traditional ruler of Bacham kingdom.

Sajoh in his condolence message said:

“It is with a deep sense of shock but with total submission to the will of Almighty God that I learnt of the passing away of a great man, a father figure an officer and a dedicated Patriot His Royal Majesty Humon Irmiya Stephen, the Hama Bachama and paramount Ruler of the Bachama Kingdom.

“As I condole the entire Bwatiye people all over the world. As I extend my condolences to the Government of Adamawa State, the Council of Traditional Rulers and the Bachama Kingdom, I wish to remind all of us to remember the late King as a man of peace who had great difficulty maintaining a moderate voice even in the face misguided populist views and opinions from all sides.

“He was wise, tactful and highly courageous in addressing issues of security and peace within his domain and in Adamawa State at large. My personal encounters with him had always left me better educated in the fine art of human management.

” His Royal Majesty had equally been one of the few Adamawa elders that call me anytime I appear on National TV to express his views on my submissions during my engagements.

“I was always careful knowing that as soon as I make a wrong statement he will quote it for me word to word. On my part I was always careful not to disappoint him. I therefore feel a personal sense of loss in his death. Let me also use this medium to condole my great uncle and mentor Chief Timawus Mathias. May the good Lord provide us a worthy replacement and give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss.
Adieu Zaki! Rest in Peace great one”
