In a condolence message, former Adamawa Governor, Rt Hon Bala James Ngilari weeped the death of his mentor, Alhaji Gambo Jimeta, former Inspector General of Police
The condolence message which reads in parts quoted Bala mourning the demise of the Adamawa elder statesman:
“I was Deeply saddened to hear about the Demise of Alhaji Gambo Jimeta Former Inpector General of Police (rtd). He was an extraordinary gentleman and elder statesman. This is a great loss to Us the people of Adamawa State and Nigeria at large.
“Late Gambo Jimeta was my mentor, adviser and a huge support for me especially during my trying times.
“He was a man of great courage who served in many capacities in the Nigeria police Force and of high intellect who contributed to the development of Our nation’s security systems ,He was a true Son of Adamawa State.
“I pray God to comfort the Family he left behind, the good people of Adamawa State and Nigeria at large.
“Allah sarki! Adamawa and indeed nigeria has lost a rare gem .May his gentle soul RIP.” Bala mourned
