The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, (ICD) has been appointed by the Sofia University Bulgaria to facilitate admission and carrier enhancement for Nigerians intending to study in the country.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Mr Dickson Omoregie, Director of ICD Nigeria and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola.
Omoregie said that the benefits would include the relationship between African and European countries in the course of study.
According to him, this milestone is a follow-up to the new ICD Youth Education and Development Initiative that is currently being vigorously pursued in complimenting the efforts of the current administration in its Youth empowerment drive.
He announced that those who have the requisite requirement/qualification would be assisted in processing the required travel documents and be received by the school authority on arrival in Sofia.
The country representative also said that Residence Permit would be given to Nigerian students who may wish to explore other opportunities while on studies.
Omoregie expressed optimism that Nigerian students would do well considering the enormous academic facilities on the ground.
He also confirmed that Sofia university had just introduced a new course titled “African Studies” that was expected to commence in October 2018.
“Prospective students shall enjoy a seamless processing of travel documents as adequate provisions have been made for a desk personnel in Sofia University dedicated to liaising between Nigeria and the University’, Omoregie said.
The statement quoted Assoc. Prof. Svetozara Halachera, Director for Language Teaching and International Students, while signing the MoU on behalf of the institution, expressed optimism that the partnership would be fruitful.
Recalls that ICD is a non-profit organization that promotes peaceful coexistence among diverse cultures in the world.
It recently unveiled a youth development initiative focuses on Nigerian youths opportunities in Diaspora.
