IGP’s Wife To Commission Sum Model School In Bauchi

Wife of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mrs. Elizabeth Kayode Egbetokun has said that education is one of POWA mantra programme, education, health and empowerment.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kayode Egbetokun who is the National Chairperson of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) spoke Wednesday in Bauchi during her official visit to the state.

Elizabeth, who is a state said that she was in Bauchi to commission a model secondary school constructed by POWA in Sum village of Bogoro Local government Area of Bauchi state.

The school will benefit the entire community, not just children of the POWA members

According to her, the school will benefit the entire community, not just children of the POWA members. It will benefit the entire state and even the neighbouring states of Bauchi, and It is a boarding institution.

“Exactly, one year ago, we were here to perform the ground breaking ceremony of POWA model secondary school. Today we are again in Bauchi to commission that same school”, she told reporters in Bauchi

The POWA National Chairperson is expected to commission the model secondary school in Sum village Thursday, admist pomp and peasantry. It was built in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Bauchi.
