An aspirant vying for the position of Jada Local Government Area Chairmanship under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Umar Bello who is well known as Calculate denied being in People’s Democracy Party (PDP).
Umar revealed that some months ago he went back to PDP, the party he was among the few founding members in Jada base on the consultations with senior stakeholders.
According to him, former vice President Atiku Abubakar is one of the respected stakeholder of the party at both local and at the national level, after having a meeting of mutual understanding, he gave him the go ahead to contest the LGA coming election of the area.
Calculate worried that the party officials and some stakeholders invited him to contest because of his political weight and might in the state,stating that they are in dare need of people like him to make the party much stronger, but he later discovered is a schemed arrangements to totally destroy his political image.
He further revealed that when he finally joined the party, it was later done on him that the PDP people in Jada called him to only kill his dreams in life and to destroy his political aspirations by denying him a waiver to contest.
“They invited me to contest for the Chairmanship,but I discovered was a tricked aiming to disgrace me and denied me the waiver to contest the election by the party officials in Jada LGA.
” To make me a political prisoner of two years is what I cannot accept, for me to be in a party and remain passive and dormant on the basis of a waiver that will amount to self political suicide mission,I moved to APC where I was wholesome welcome. ” Calculate said
He chronicled that building up to 2019 Governorship elections in the country,his former party,Alliance National Party (ANP) formed an alliance for victory with APC,at that point he was never an APC Man.
He Reiterated that he is a bonafide member of APC haven withdrawn his membership from PDP and formally write to his Ward Chairman of APC to become a member.
Umar said:
“To show that APC party and the its members are not deceiver while I was away without my kobo, they bought a Chairmanship form for me to contest the coming LG elections to welcome me to the party.”
