Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, has categorically dismissed speculations linking him to the 2027 Adamawa State governorship race, reaffirming his commitment to return to the Senate for a third term.
“If my constituents will allow me, I will like to go back to the Senate chambers again,” the ranking senator declared during an interactive session with journalists in Yola, whom he praised for their steadfast media support.
Addressing reports from some media outlets and social media platforms suggesting his interest in succeeding Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Sen. Binos firmly distanced himself from the governorship contest. “I am not running for Adamawa governor,” he stated, emphasizing that his focus remains on serving his constituents at the National Assembly, where his experience as a ranking senator positions him to deliver greater dividends of democracy.

Binos highlighted the strategic advantage of his legislative tenure, noting that prolonged experience in the National Assembly equips him to better advocate for the Southern zone.
Among his legislative achievements, he cited sponsoring a bill to establish a separate police pension scheme, which has passed its second reading, and his relentless push for the Federal University of Education in Numan.
The latter faced setbacks during President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration but has been revived under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with corrections made to the bill. “The bill is progressing well and now awaits discussion in the House of Representatives,” Binos announced, expressing optimism about its passage.
The senator underscored the urgency of establishing a federal institution in Adamawa Southern zone, the only zone in the state without one, as a critical step toward equitable development.

He credited his legislative strides to the unwavering support of journalists, whom he lauded for amplifying his efforts “in a broad way” for the benefit of his constituents.
As the 2027 elections loom, Sen. Binos remains focused on his senatorial ambitions, banking on the trust of his constituents and the power of his legislative track record to secure another term in the Red Chamber.
