“I’m Proud of You”: Tinubu Hails Ribadu’s Role in Tackling Insecurity, Lauds Fintiri’s L’ship

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his dedication and effectiveness in tackling Nigeria’s insecurity challenges, describing him as an honest, truthful, hardworking, and intelligent Nigerian making the nation proud.

The President made the remarks during a one-day working visit to Adamawa State on Monday, February 16, 2026, where he commissioned several major infrastructure projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration in the state capital, Yola.

Tinubu hailed Ribadu as a proud son of Adamawa State, noting that his contributions are helping build a greater Nigeria free from all forms of security threats. The praise underscores Ribadu’s role in the federal government’s ongoing efforts to halt insecurity across the country.

Speaking at the event, President Tinubu also saluted Governor Fintiri’s infrastructure vision and leadership. He specifically highlighted the underpass bridges and other projects he commissioned, stating that such developments would boost private investments and stem from the courage and resilience of good governance.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s heavy investments in agriculture, education, and human capital development, urging Fintiri to continue carrying the people along, as it remains the surest path to sustainable progress.

“Thank you, Fintiri, for your commitment to building a new Adamawa State. I’m a very happy man. Let’s continue to serve our people,” Tinubu said.

In response, Governor Fintiri presented a brief scorecard of his administration’s achievements in infrastructure. He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the support that has enabled his government to deliver for the people of Adamawa State, describing the President as “the man behind my success.”

Fintiri pledged continued loyalty, stating, “We are with you. Adamawa people are with you, all the way we are with you.”

The visit highlighted federal-state collaboration and recognition of developmental strides in Adamawa, with the commissioned projects spanning roads, education, justice, and governance sectors aimed at enhancing economic growth and service delivery.
