The Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has on Tuesday paid an unscheduled visit to the National Youth Service permanent Orientation Camp at Damre Yola and donated cows, bags of rice and other condiments to the corps members.
In a statement signed by his special assistant on Press and Media Affairs Martins Dickson, Senator Jibrilla said he was at the NYSC camp to assess the welfare of the Corp members as well as ensure that their safety and comfort is above average.
“I am here to see to your welfare and to make sure that all you need for a successful orientation exercise is provided to you. You are the future of Nigeria and we must make sure that you are adequately equipped to take over the affairs of this country in the right frame of mind and as a unified generation”.
Bindow encouraged the corps members to see themselves as Nigerians first and to learn from each other as they converge from different parts of the country.
He emphasized the fact that the orientation camp is a mini Nigeria and as they live together and tolerate one another in camp, they must also propagate same attitude beyond their service year.
