The National University Commission (NUC) is to embark on environmental impact assessment tour of the Lutheran University Nigeria in Adamawa towards its establishment.
The President, Lutheran World Federation, Archbishop Musa Panti Filibus, said the visit is sequel to provision of preliminary prerequisites by the church.
The Cleric made the announcement during the 211 General Church Meeting of the LCCN headquarters in Numan.
Filibus urged Nigerians to pray to God for divine intervention to end insecurity bedeviling the country.
According to him, the church believes “in the power of the Holy Spirit in bringing newness of life even where the smell of death hovers of our heads”.
“At the same time, we must continue to hold the federal government of Nigeria accountable for its promises and its constitutional mandate to protect life properties.
The Cleric encouraged people to take farming seriously, especially the rural dwellers to address lingering food insecurity.
