The Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) vowed to support Former Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Sunday Peter’s whose victory was annulled by the National and state House of Assembly elections Petition Tribunal.
Recall the Tribunal in Adamawa passed a judgment of his election challenged by his PDP opponent , Hon Adwawa Dongolok to be inconclusive.
The verdict made the State Working Committee and the entire leadership of the APC in the state gave a press statement signed by the party’s publicity secretary, Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi and stated that they have identified and will always support Rt Hon Sunday Peter get his back at polls or through the court process.
Peter who won the election for the second term as member representing Guyuk Constituency his election has been declared inconclusive by the Tribunal the party said he has what it takes to win the election again.
“The party is in total support of whatever action Rt. Hon. Sunday may decide to take in the pursuit of the mandate given to him by the good people of Guyuk.
“With the very clear and comfortable margin in his favour as declared by the Tribunal we are confident that his mandate will be restored either through appeal or re-run election in the affected polling units.
“The Party is therefore urging the good people of Guyuk and the APC family to remain calm, law abiding and continue to support RT. Hon. Sunday Peter.” The statement read
