Lauretta Onochie, an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media has told the Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission that she is no longer a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
She made the denial on Thursday in Abuja while being screened by the committee on her nomination as a national commissioner for the INEC.

Onochie, meanwhile, admitted that she swore an oath at an Abuja Federal High Court that she was a member of the APC but said that she ceased being a member of the party immediately after the 2019 elections.
She told the Senate committee that a serving INEC National Commissioner from Delta State, Mrs May Agbamuche, is actually representing Cross River on the board of the electoral umpire.
