The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates contesting in the June 20, 2026 bye-elections across various senatorial districts, federal constituencies, and state assembly seats in the country.

The elections will be held to fill vacant positions in the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly.
For the Ondo South Senatorial District election, four candidates have been cleared to contest. They are Adesanya Olaoluwa of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Faduyile Francis Adedayo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akinwumi Adeolu Harrison of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and Nejo Funso Clement of the Boot Party (BP).
In Nasarawa North Senatorial District, the candidates are Halilu Danladi Envwulu-Aza of the APC, Maku Labaran of the Labour Party (LP), John Paul Araneshri of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
For the Rivers South East Senatorial District seat, candidates approved by INEC include Douglas Fabeeke Beeka of the Action Alliance (AA), Osarosaka Ebenezer Erewari of the APC, Sam Kinanee Barikpoa of the LP, and Nwogu Olaka Johnson of the PDP.
In Enugu North Senatorial District, the commission listed Asogwa Ikeje Israel of the APC, Aneke Kingsley Chukwuebuka of the BP, and Ezeme Nestor Chika of the PDP as candidates for the election.
Meanwhile, in Kebbi State, two candidates will contest for the Zuru State Constituency seat in the State House of Assembly. They are Garba Aiki Rabiu of the APC and Aliyu Galadima Muhammad of the LP.
For the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency seat in Kano State, three candidates were cleared by the electoral commission. They include Rabiu Shuaibu of the APC, Lawan Garba Haruna of the APM, and Abubakar Yahaya Muhammad of the LP.
INEC said the publication of the candidatesā list is part of preparations for the conduct of the bye-elections scheduled for June 20, 2026. The commission urged political parties, candidates, and voters to comply with electoral guidelines to ensure peaceful, transparent, and credible elections.
