The heinous and incessant attacks of a revered cult group of Young people in Adamawa state will come to an end by the incoming government of Rt Hon Umaru Fintiri.
According to the senator-elect of Adamawa Northern senatorial district,Mr Elisha Abbo Cliff said the Fintiri incoming Government will give amnesty to the terror group who specialises in using Tricycles to kidnap, kill,rape and involved in all forms of armed banditry.
Abbo revealed that Fintiri will be using both carrot and stick approach to defeat shila Boys who are gaining ground in the state.
Cliff in his Facebook official page had earlier said that the Umaru Fintiri will rehabilitate the Shila Boys and make them become better persons.
“The Shila Boys have been lured into crime,need rehabilitation and they have to be rehabilitated.” Abbo said
He further said that the boys need to be empowered with something much better and meaningful that will add value to themselves and the society.
On wanting to clarify on his earlier statement on the social media,he granted a telephone interview to some journalists in Yola,saying that is not speaking on behalf of the Governor elect neither is he speaking on behalf of the party but his stand alone view.
While responding to a question whether the Shila attacks has been extended to the northern part of the state, his senatorial zone, he responded as a senator elect cannot Wait until their activities are move to other parts of the state before he can voice out.
According to him he is an elected Senator who sees himself as a proactive leader not reactive to wait until shila cult group extends their evil work to his own constituency.
While reacting to a question of whether he consulted widely before making the categorical statement of Shila Boys will be rehabilitated on coming of Fintiri government,considering the fact that security generally is a serious issues that must left in the hands of security experts.
Elisha responded that he is a political leader and If there is no political good will the security agencies cannot face the challenges well.
“The security challenges must have political goodwill to fight the challenge. And is the political leaders that will tackle the security challenge. The security agency cannot work well if the political leaders are not active.” He said
He continue to say that there is nothing that cannot be sorted out politically,the issues of insecurity has endear him to have a meeting with the commissioner of police on the issues of Boko Haram,Herders and Farmers clashes and kidnapping in the state.
“I cannot wait until Shila Boys Come down to northern part of the state with their attacks,my immediate constituency before I talk.” He added
While sampling and analysing commends on his Facebook post, his friends,followers and non friends are of the view that the senator-elect should wait until is being sworn-in to office before making categorical statements on security matters.

However the Senator elect largely blame the government and the aparatus the security agencies are using in the stateo of not being active enough to halt the activities of the group.
You could recall that the Adamawa police command recently parades kidnappers and some Yan Shila Boys terrorising the communities of Yola North,Yola South and Girei LGAs.
The command Public relation officer, SA Othman Abubakar said the command is doing all it could to end all forms of crime in the state.
