The current Security Challenges facing the country has been described as worrisome which is close to zero point.
The Deputy Senate Minority Leader at the Nigeria’s Red Chamber, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha disclosed this while interacting with Newsmen in his residence in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.
“Nigeria is sliding into the state of anarchy and needs prayers for God’s intervention”. Said the lawmaker.
He expressed worried over the overwhelming insecurity in the country that has destabilized every sector of life, saying it is that Nigerians need to submit the situation to GOD through prayers for a possible solution.
Emmanuel Bwacha, who is the Senator representing Taraba South said:
“I does not know how Nigeria got into this mess of bandits, where no place in the country is safe.
“The country is sliding into anarchy which is dangerous for us Nigerians, we need to pray hard for God intervention.
“The primary responsibility of every leader and government is to protect lives and property, i support the call for state of emergency on security to enable the country survive. It’s only when lives and properties are being protected that you can move and interact freely and as well enjoy the provision of nature.
“The Insecurity in the country is quite worrisome, we need God’s intervention. No place is safe in this country. I think God is not happy with us, we seriously need Prayers.
“The northeast is gradually moving to be a lawless zone, boiling violence, the Northwest has boiled and is gradually escalating to other zones of the country where if no proactive move is taking, we will not have the country standing again.
On the call by some Nigerians for President Mohammadu Buhari to resign, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha said his opinion that:
“I do not support the call for President Buhari’s resignation over the increasing insecurity, i think God is not happy with us, Nigerians and we need to pray for forgiveness.”
While reacting to the continuous ethnic clashes in the southern zone of Taraba, the Senator suggested dialogue as the solution to end killings in the area.
He, however, urged people to engage in dialogue as the best option in solving issues than taking the laws into their hands.
“The crisis have brought a terrible situation, thereby making life difficult for the people.
“Our lands are filled with blood, everybody is guilty, corruption on the high. Everybody is involved in the mess that we are facing in the country.
According to him, he has been working out modalities with his Benue counterpart, Sen. Gabriel Suswam, whom his zone borders with, to ensure lasting peace and unity among the people.
The National lawmaker, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to be sober and look inward, adding that with God, all things are possible.
On 2023 Governorship in Taraba State, Senator Bwacha revealed that he is an advocate of Zoning.
“Any Senatorial Zone can produce a Governor come 2023 Governorship Seat.
“The Governorship Seat should start from the Southern Zone of the State, but where it pleases God, let it start from there. We are after competency and not enterprenuers. He pointed out.
On the current administration in the state, he said:
“Judgement is left to Tarabans, they should judge by themselves for the records are there. Taraba State need intervention. While on the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the State, he said:
“I am a founding member of the Party, I see PDP not holding People together in the state, it need to be rescued.
Senator Bwacha use the forum to congratulate workers in the 2021 Workers Day despite the hardship and pray that the situation will improve.
“I urged Workers to always engage dialogue in solving matters – Sen. Bwacha concluded.
