An investigation carried out by this medium revealed that the Imprompto sacking of the Chief Details (CDs) to the Governor of Adamawa state,Tijjani Umar Ibrahim was as a result of an in-house fight between most of the aides of the Governor who are Margis claiming a right and owns the government.
Information made available to TGNEWS also revealed that since the coming of Fintiri on board as the Executive Governor,there has been an in-fight in Government House and Marghi tribe are being accused of controlling virtually everything in the state House.
The investigation further shown that Tijjani,a Higgi Man from Michika LGA began to experienced a no love lust between him and the ADC,a protracted war in Government House, Yola under the nose of Governor Fintiri is seen among most of the Governor’s aides including Government top officials.
A source who is a staff of Government House confided in TGNEWS that Marghi tribes penchant to dominate others in Government House Yola since the arrival of Fintiri has become a well known threats to other none Margi tribes.
According to him with the exception of the CD who is Higgi tribe and the Chief Security Officer (CSO),Othman Abubakar a Mada Man from Nassarawa State, the rest is Margi dominance.
He further revealed that the war of attrition between the duo, facetted like an old wound and exploded at the Yola international airport some time ago,where the Governor’s security team almost,in a open show exchanged blows, banters and trade abusive words on each another few days to his sack.
“The trade words of war between the Mobile police attached to the Governor and the DSS attached to Government House Yola (GHY) it was because the Police on the orders of the ADC blocked the DSS from traveling with the Governor’s entourage to Abuja.” He said
He continue to say that the in-house fight degenerated when ADC, DSP Lucas Stephens gave PDP State party chairman,Barr AT Shehu a seat to denied the Chief Details ( DSS) a seat in the plane billed to escort the Governor to Abuja. And when the CD noticed about the development he raised an eyebrow and a fight was ensured.
“There has been constant trouble brewing between the ADC who is Margi with the rest of the officials attached to the Governor.
”The CD who stands close to the Governor during official functions and coordinate his day to day activities in terms of security was suddenly sacked with no explanation for his removal.
“My worry is why must it be now when this intelligent officer work day and night during the campaigns time of the Governor, contributed to the present victory of Fintiri? Where were the Margis when he was with him as Speaker? Was with him during his sad days and good days? I think no matter what the Governor should not listen to gossips because it is pure Malice and envy of the young man perfectly working out things good for Fintiri.” He added
Another source however said Governor Fintiri will never sack Umar under any pressure of being a non Margi Man as his political might is beyond primordial sentiments of tribe.
He said there must be something classical and probably leaking out a top secret of the Government by the embattled CD.
“I don’t think Fintiri can sack his aide base on rumour mongering or gossip peddlers because I know him as a matured Politician and his experience Worth the while on taken any decision or action.
“May I also say that Fintiri has the prerogative powers to appoint anybody to work with him as his CD,is not under any bidding to work with a particular person if he feels his services are no longer needed. Then why must he work with him? And Governor Fintiri does not owe anyone an apology or explanation as to why he sacked his former CD.” He said
An All Progress Congress,APC, party Loyalist,Uba Dan’arewa aired his personal opinion that the governor and all his working apparatus should not be from a particular tribe, left alone his own tribe of Marghi.
He said information to his disposal also indicated that the ADC Marghi, escort commandant Margi, and all other security details around him are all Marghi apart from Inspector Lawan who is Higgi. Margi dominance in the affairs of the Government and particularly Government House is seen as a tribalistic stronghold of the Governor.
According to him the Politician should borrow an idea from the military who uses aides or guards other than their tribes or religion.
Uba also revealed that the system working in Adamawa state government house has also excluded the house/Fulani tribes and it is a call for a concern.
Umar was described by many sources in the course of our investigation that he earned Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s respect haven been a loyal aide since the days he was a speaker,acting Governor in 2014 to date.
